The Really Good Stuff

A place to share our industry’s good-news stories and support each other during and beyond COVID-19

2020/21.

First, our Australian summer experienced one of the largest, longest bushfire seasons in our nation’s history only to be followed by floods, and then, a fight against the global coronavirus pandemic.

While we thought the worst was over by 2021, it only took 6 months for our major states to be plunged back into harsh lockdowns, borders closed and restrictions reintroduced to protect Australians from the deadly Delta variant.

Businesses and families across Australia are going through hardship. We may be doing better than some, as our bottle shops remained open and the relaxing of licensing laws in most States gave a lifeline to some venues, but there is no denying that our hospitality and tourism industry has suffered.

Despite it all, our beloved industry continues to respond with a willingness to serve and a desperation to survive – we all want to do our part to protect and provide for the industry and nation we know and love.

Help us share your really good stuff with the world and tell us how businesses have adapted and are doing everything they can to look after their team and customers. Whether it’s aiding the industry’s recovery following the easing of lockdowns, or future-looking initiatives seeking to benefit the community and environment, help us showcase the best of our industry.
